CleanFiber Leadership Transition
Blasdell, New York – February 5th, 2025 - After 12 years of dedicated leadership, Jon Strimling has decided to step down as CleanFiber’s CEO to pursue a new opportunity outside the company. While we are saddened to see him depart, we are extremely grateful for his commitment and contributions, and we are all wishing him the very best in this new chapter.
The Board has worked with Jon and the leadership team to put in place a plan to ensure a smooth transition:
Eric Chapman, who has been on our board since 2017 and is currently serving as Board Chair, has been appointed Executive Chairman and will take on the responsibilities of the CEO on an interim basis, effective February 5th, 2025.
Sami Rahman, our recently hired President and General Manager, will continue to lead the company’s day-to-day operations, supported by a highly talented and experienced leadership team, which we’ve been developing over the past several years.
Jon will remain available to support the board and leadership team in an interim consulting role for the next few months to help ensure the transition is successful.
Jonathan Strimling commented, “I am incredibly grateful for the support that CleanFiber has received over the years from our customers, our suppliers, and our investors, and it has truly been an honor to serve as CleanFiber’s CEO. The team we have assembled is truly world-class. With Eric and Sami each adding their extraordinary capabilities and now taking the lead on this next stage of CleanFiber’s growth, I know that CleanFiber will stay true to our mission of delivering top quality, innovative products to our customers, while concurrently accelerating our strategic growth plans.”
Eric Chapman added, “Since 2017, I’ve been both an investor in CleanFiber and have served on the Board, most recently as Board Chair. This has afforded me the opportunity to work closely with Jon. I’ve seen firsthand how CleanFiber has grown from a vision of being the best quality, lowest cost producer of cellulose insulation to the reality we see today with our operating plant in Buffalo and exciting plans for expansion. We have an exciting future ahead of us, and I have full confidence in our team’s ability to continue building CleanFiber into the industry leader we know it can be.”
